Proxy Request Notifications
The PACFile system maintains a feature that allows a person, known as a proxy, to perform certain filing actions on behalf of a PACFile-registered user. This feature is available because the electronic filing process is generally limited to the participants and attorneys on each case. Proxying, therefore, allows these individuals to grant their filing privileges to other PACFile-registered users for administrative purposes.
As a prerequisite, the prospective proxy must register for a UJS Web Portal account. Proxy rights can then be granted using a two-step process. First, the prospective proxy can systematically request the right to proxy on behalf of another person (a.k.a. the granting authority). This step is not always required because proxy rights can be assigned without a request, but it simplifies the required actions for the granting authority. The second step requires the granting authority to accept the request and assign privileges to the new proxy.
The granting authority on the receiving end of a proxy request is forwarded a notification, which provides the instruction to review the request. For more information on accepting and rejecting a proxy request, refer to the My Proxies topic.
